All About Me
From a young age, I have been gratefully challenged by my goal of accomplishing The American Dream through entrepreneurship. This journey began at the age of 9 when I started delivering The Daily Journal newspaper. Saving diligently, I bought my first lawnmower at 12 and launched a lawn care business.
My passion lies in delivering outstanding service. Coming from a modest background, I learned problem-solving early, working on engines with my late father, Dennis Schnell. This experience ignited my interest in mechanics, a field I found immensely satisfying.
Academically, I excelled with a 4.0 GPA and was a proud member of the Honor Guard in Momence for Bill Cotter. Despite excelling in various areas, it was the trades that captivated me most. This led me to graduate from the KCC Career Center's construction class, cementing my resolve to pursue a career in trades.
I furthered my education at Coyne American Institute, where I earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science, specializing in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R). Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, I received hiring recommendations from all my professors.
Sure you know how it works, but I know why it works! At Coyne, I gained a deep understanding of not only how HVAC systems work but also the principles behind their operation. This knowledge sets me apart in the field. After graduation, I landed my first HVAC role at a local company and quickly rose to the position of senior technician, applying my academic knowledge to real-world scenarios.
At 26, the time was ripe to realize my lifelong dream. In 2017, I founded Schnell's Heating and Cooling Inc., a culmination of years of dedication and hard work. Outside of my entrepreneurial endeavors, in my limited free time, I enjoy the great outdoors whether it’s with a fishing pole, my Hoyt Compound, or a golf club in my hand. You can certainly find me enjoying the great outdoors of God's Green Earth. This balance between my professional ambitions and my passions has been a cornerstone of my life, reflecting my commitment not only to my career but also to living life to its fullest.
